Sally Thompson serves as Client Accounting Manager at Appleby Trust (Cayman) Ltd. She joined Appleby Trust in March 2008 bringing with her a wealth of experience having served in numerous capacities in the offshore financial services sector.
Sally’s experience includes nearly ten years with J.P. Morgan Bank & Trust (Bahamas) Limited where she designed and managed the Client Accounting Department servicing ultra high net worth fiduciary clients.
In 1996, Sally joined Lloyds TSB Bank & Trust (Bahamas) Limited where she served in numerous capacities. As Client Accounting Manager, she designed the bank’s nominal ledger system for implementation into the bank’s integrated system. She also served as Vice President, Client Services where she managed the marketing, trust administration, accounting, investment and credit administration functions. She subsequently assumed the position of Vice President, Finance with responsibility for maintaining the current status of financial reporting, bank and securities reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable, unit funds and client accounting functions of the department.
Sally is a member of the Bahamas Association of Compliance officers, STEP and POWERtalk International. She has presented workshops to international bankers in Brazil, Miami, Geneva, New York and the Bahamas on client relationships and accounting for investments in trusts and personal holding companies. In 2007, she obtained the Certified Trainer Designation by POWERtalk International in Atlanta, Georgia.
